    THEIR SON AFTER SOMEONE STOLE
    HIS PRIMARY WAY OF
    COMMUNICATING WITH HIM.
    HE WAS 9 YEARS OLD.
HE IS LEARNING TO USE THIS
    DEVICE TO HELP HIM INTERACT
    WITH PEOPLE.
    SOMEONE TOOK IT FROM THERE,
    RECENTLY.
    MICHAEL EXPLAINS FROM THE
    CULTURAL ROOM HOW THE FAMILY
    NEEDS MONEY TO REPLACE IT.
    IT MAY LOOK LIKE YOUR
    TYPICAL TABLET BUT IT ISN'T.
IT TOOK YEARS FOR HIM TO GET TO
    USE IT.
NOW THE FAMILY NEEDS YOUR HELP.
    DO YOU WANT THAT?
THOSE ARE SOME OF THE WORDS

NEVER WALK BUT HE WENT OUT
    THERE AND IT SURPRISES.
    HE RECENTLY STARTED WORKING
    WITH THIS DEVICE TO COMMUNICATE
    WHAT HE IS THINKING.

    PARENTS WENT OUTSIDE OF THEIR
    HOME IN FAYETTEVILLE AND THEY
    REALIZE THEY LEFT THEIR CAR
    UNLOCKED AND SOMEONE STOLE THE
    DEVICE.
    SHE STARTED A GOFUNDME PAGE
    HOPING TO REPLACE IT.
THEY ARE HELP AND THANKFUL FOR
THE HELP THEY HAVE RECEIVED SO
    FAR.
    THEY NEED $7000.
IT IS GREAT THAT PEOPLE WANT
TO HELP YOU BUT THEN SOME
    PEOPLE REALLY REALLY HOPE.
    HE WENT TO HIS APPOINTMENT
    TUESDAY WITHOUT THE DEVICE IN
HIS PARENTS HOPE THIS IS JUST A
    TEMPORARY SETBACK.
THE ONE THING THEY WANT IS
    PROGRESS.
